This is what I have been looking for!!! DIY Chalkboard Garden Signs so I can keep track of where I plant things. Ok, so it really isn’t chalk, but it looks like a chalkboard.
I can plant my garden with no problem, but remembering where and what I planted is always a problem. So this is a perfect solution for me. I have tried marking the rows with a stone or something, but that never works.
What I really would like to be able to have is a chalkboard garden sign for each variety of tomato I plant. Hubby likes a certain kind and I use another kind for cooking and still another kind for salads. I need to know what is what in my garden. Is that too much to ask for? I don’t think so.
With the idea of the chalkboard signs I can add to them every year as I change what is in my garden. I am surprised how easy there are to make. The fact that you can use old wood or even wooden planks from old crates is a cost savings. But free wood makes this project look really good. I love free!
So I would need to gather my tools and supplies and then start creating DIY chalkboard garden signs for each of my different veggies I plant and then for each of the varieties I plant. I think this will make for a rather interesting garden this year.
Maybe I should try to color coordinate them. Like a green chalkboard garden sign for green beans, red for tomatoes, yellow for yellow squash and orange for cantaloupe. I have a few other green veggies in there that I don’t know what color to use, but I am sure I will figure something out. Hey….what’s that purple veggie….I never can remember the name, but I could use the purple color for that.
This will be my garden of many colors. But seriously, if I can draw the veggies and paint them, that should be enough. Just like they have shown in their pictures.
I am glad they have given us such great directions. I need lots of instructions. I read them all and then I go do what I want. Is that a bad thing? Naaa……it’s being creative.

See, this is what I need. One garden sign for each tomato variety. I love these…they are so pretty.
