Kids love to help in the garden. It is a great place to create a learning environment or a good time for parent and child to bond and have some great discussions. These times will only be enhanced if your child has their own gardening tools.
I have some of the best memories of my kids and I working in the garden together. It really didn’t matter if I was working in the veggie garden or the flower garden, they always wanted to help. Why fight it, just give them their own tools and give them a job. This would be a perfect time to teach them how to take care of tools as well. There is no sense in putting a tool away dirty, get it clean and put it up so it doesn’t rust.
